SimSolTravel Brewery Tour » VillaGeneralBelgrano

A German town in Córdoba Province, Argentina.

A visit to VGB (Villa General Belgrano), named after the creator of the Argentine flag, Manuel Belgrano, is like taking a trip to Germany. The survivors of a scuttled and sunk battleship, the Admiral Graf Spee, founded VGB after WWII. And as any good German, they needed beer! There are at least six breweries in this town of hardly more than 6,000 inhabitants, which accounts for the large number of visitors. Notice that the buildings are all in the German style and that a lot of German memorabilia is available for visitors. One local bottle store has a huge selection of beer from all over. The best way to get to VGB is a short bus ride from Córdoba City.
