Spinnakers combines great beers and views for a wonderfully relaxing afternoon.

The Spinnakers BrewPub, a 20 minute walk from Canoe, was the third brewery on our one day whirlwind Victoria Brewery Tour. Spinnakers is a brewery located with a guesthouse and bistro with a fabulous view across the Victoria harbor. One of the larger breweries in Victoria, it provides a rich selection of beers and food. Since Beth collects beer mats, she asked if she could have some but was told they do not make them for Spinnakers. The reason? That fabulous view with a patio right on the edge of the water. There were just too many contests to see who could sail a beer mat, like a Frisbee, the farthest! Wet beer mats are just not good for the waterfowl. We enjoyed the third, and final, stop on our one day whirlwind Victoria Brewery Tour as long as we could, including a very interesting cranberry and orange zest cask ale. Unfortunately we had to leave too soon to catch the Victoria Clipper to Seattle so Tim wasn’t able to tour the actual brewery.
